talked to a few of you personally about making a newsletter and i think everybody is in the loop on that (and, NO!, don’t say ‘no way, dude!’, ken! — i think it was your idea in the first place!)
in any event - i had some free time and took the initiative of giving the ball a kick in the pants. attached is a mock-up for stylez reference - i’m thinking a pocket-size lil chunk that you can keep on you at all times to stop bullets and fight insidious ennui!
basically if you cut a sheet of paper in half, and then folded those in half again and jammed a few hundred staples along the spine to keep it safe! then you could flip it open and go thru the contents, etc..
the content is just whatever the heck you want to throw down, unless somebody objects to that. i am including a couple pics of spain to illustrate my trip synopsis, and probably a chunk from my new sketchbook. perhaps an anecdote about buying our new house to salt it off.
i think the best way to respond and work together so that this isn’t co-opted by just one or two peeps is to communicate via the website. i will post this basic email on the newz section, and you can add comments to it — that way we can all see what is evolving and whatnot. also, there is a sweet chat room in the forum section so if we bump into each other we can discuss live (you can scroll back thru and see recent discussion too.)

I’m leaving a comment of my own to illustrate how ez this really is! — One thing i didnt talk about was how/when printing will take place.
How about in FEB before rinaldo leaves?

I am preparing some choice turdz for newzletta along with some web chunks and maybe even a photo or two..
Printing at the end of the month sounds okay too (although Feb would give us more time)..

Geez guys, you want me to do art once again? I mean, I’ve fallen and I can’t get up. Art is like driving a Chevy Monza off the showroom floor, but these days I am riding in the passenger seat staring at the interior.
Just kidding. I have been modestly creative over the last few years, nothing too serious though. I’ve still got it where it counts, I’ve just got to count it!

do you have a dead-line set for this? how much do you want us to throw down? um, am i going to be inserted into the “assosiate” section of the book? what do i gotta do to become a full-fleged member of DLA? anyway, good to see this thing rolling. i’m looking forward to riding this baby into my multiple horizons.

alive and kicking, it is true. man, BHBW just dropped off a few chunky morsels for the DLa newsletter — freshly soaked sheets from the BW mazter himself! It is like the return of Hardcopy again. sweet..

We had a shutdown this sunday at the microsoft data center in quincy so we could terminate inside otherwise hot gear. The long hallways and many rooms were eerie as they were only lit by a few lights where people were working. Flashlights bounced here and there. Stupidly, I had my right hand sqeezed in a rope while pulling some wire. I kept it to myself and acted like it didn’t hurt. It’s now swollen but othewise ok. I think I can still use it.
