just got back from work - the other driver was busy with something else this week, so i am getting some xtra hours this week. it also means i dont have much free time (to speak of..) but i will be able to get my assignments ready for the weekend.

i saw chrisp at the public library today - he checked out some books to inspire for the business issue - gadget machinery, patterns, and something else. i got a book about marcel duchamp. i also looked through some art magazines at the college library after work. contemporary art is a big load shit. the less the artist really has to say the more elaborate they are about expressing it. sad. my kick lately is that i really fucking am sick of people. ignorant dumbfuck singleminded selfish organisms relentlessly pumping their treadmill lives while pissing on everything around them. i think hating people is a much more uplifting and inspiring than succumbing to the intense apathy of everybody here.

i definitely am feeling the urge to do something more artistic than dla. something more personal and interesting. perhaps self-absorbed. obsessive. visually interesting. mentally gratifying. emotionally cathartic.

but right now i am not doing anything. sunday i started going thru some tutorials for the combustion program, and it is less intimidating now. i have only done the first one of about a dozen tutorials (each one progressively more in-depth.) - and already the interface is much less chaotic.

i also looked through some more computer art mag’s and websites - our current time is littered with art and artists, and the distinction between the popular art medium and the art i found in the “artist” magazines is interesting. as vague and bizarre as fine artist’s try to be the opposite is true of mainstream art. i am sure there is a connection there.

well.. i am going to chow down. shoot one back.

as for me, i hav been dealing with shit too. human shit. people hits. it’s all good. i am busy pumping out the business shit. data. info. business. oinking it down honking it back up.

i have almost completed everything i wanted to complete as far as raw data goes. in addition to general collabz with you on the business architecture (embellishmentz/insanity/etc), there are several specific business categories that require your expertise and/or data/notes input/etc.

such categories include (thus far):

1. distribution/profits/nonprofits/etc (as previously email-discussed)
2. beefing up the DLa product line
3. revealed DLa future business planz / eyessss.. or no eyez
4. website categorization and timeline (i have a rough timeline)
5. filling in the DLa timeline (i started one, all rough)

maybe we can walk friday evening and pre-discuss pre-business?

and, parallellably, I, too, feel the need to purge the business out of my system and get back into art.

don’t worry about all the business stuff right now. this weekend i will bring the proper .docs and fill you in on my share of the business. but, if possible, bring any knowledge, notes, and/or documents concerning DLa business.

I am a madman sitting down to do some business, racing the clock and trying to make every second count, because seconds are all I’ve got, and I refuse to give it all up for nothing. Although, I must admit, it would make my life SO much easier, simpler, and laid-back if I were to just roll over, give up, and take it like a man. I could be regular. I could be ordinary. Ten minutes later. Thru pain, thought, digestion, itching, distraction, a tractor hums in the night… After chores are done, bills are paid, family is happy. a small hour later, I am here, in business, with planz, and time passes and vanishes, coming and going without error… And then time itself vanishes. and i am left alone to delve into obsession, fantasy, mayhem. and I will work until I must stop. .a small price to pay for a lifetime’s worth of work and purpose.
