zine archive project. thanks for the shotz.. i helped paint the blue floor among other things. sweet. you can see some of the zines - piles and some already shelved. if the shit was more organized and cleaned up, and the people didnt suck, and it didnt cost $50 a year - it would be a cool place to hang out and do art (or something). hmmm. how do they pay for rent? the big room with the blue floor is supposedly going to be a workspace for people wanting to do zines, with drawing tables light tables photocopier paper magazine stock etc…. when is that supposed to happen?

i forgot to tell you one thing: remember when i was telling you about bumbershoot and how we should have done a zine booth at this seattle arts festival this last year? i know we really couldnt have pulled it off anyhow, but maybe this next year we should think about it. sure. i guess the organizers of bumbershoot felt the festival isnt exciting or ‘local’ enuf or something, and they wanted to include some more exciting, down to earth stuff - so they contacted the ZAP place and asked them to do a big zine display at bumbershoot this next summer..!!! HA! i can already tell you that “zap” is not going to invite us. HA! yer killin me. not unless i become her best friend or something. (blech) HAHHAHAHAHA!!!. but there is nothing stopping us from setting up our own zine/art space at bumbershoot, if we are so inclined. perhaps we are so indeed inclined.. the types of things we could show and do are limitless, and maybe you could mention it to the fellaz at the next get-together. check. (along with the IMAX thing). check. check. and double-check! i am VERY confident that we could blow whatever the ZAP place does away. Final Answer! GO!!

just things to think about. Aye Aye. And.. something for you to think about.. where is the next DLa email with all the ‘next issue’ info? Eastside needz this to really clear thingz up — imagine a great amount of confusion, etc.. you know, stuff like, deadlinez, format, theme info (if any).. maybe even a note to let everybody (including [FCU], who has been very interested) know that you are still werking thingz out and will let everyone know real soon what to expect/do/etc.. and that it is okay to go ahead and werk on such and such (any?) art with maybe such and such (theme?) in mind.. or something. it is crucial, i feel, for whoever is handling the layout/business shtuff to keep the other drones informed as to what’s up with business/DLa/etc.. even tho we may mock it, DLa has progressed too far to let it slip away now.
