Another fine DLA bulletin!!

—OK OK OK, so you all love these DLA updates SO much that we just HAD to send out another one!! Ha HA Ha!!! We DARE you to respond! C’monza! Just try it! You don’t got the gutz, you yella-bellied salamanderz!

Serious Tip:

Business 1:// (November Issue) –>

The November Issue kicked axe!! If you have yet to Check it, don’t Wreck it — it is a true wonder of desktop manipulation and artistic collaboration. - Shoutz!!

Business 2:// (2002 Calendar) –>

Regular store-bought calendars suck the bloody pus out of my festering and infected ingrown toenails !! So we are producing our own, personalized, DLA calendar.

   Specs:

1. Legal size (art up, dates down).
2. Black and White
3. DLA use ONLY (membaz only!)
4. DEADLINE: @ Thane’s office by DECEMBER 15th, 2001.

We will be contacting each of you individually about which months to plan for, etc… Also, besides the usual holidays, etc., the calendar will feature important DLA dates of interest: monthly themes, big meeting plans, anniversaries, celebrations, berfdayz–anything about any and all of us! After all, we don’t want the terrorists to think they’ve won.

Business 3:// (Phat Komix Bazaar) –>

Never sleeping, we are already developing the DLA Komix Special. If successful, this will be an X-tremely Phat Volume.

   Specs:

1. Softcover binding
2. Cropped pagez (full bleedz!)
3. 75+ comic pages
4. Gallery sections (non-comik)
5. Graphic Novel look and feel (pero, muy muy expensivo)
6. Printing costs not yet determined
7. Possible bulk printing (mass distribution)
8. March (?) release

We are werking toward a very high-quality publication here, folks. And will be in touch with each of you to discuss planz, ideaz, concernz, and/or fearz. BE THINKING about this and what you may wish to publish a bit more professionally than usual (code werdz::: portfolio, resume, curriculum vitae). And, if you have suggestions regarding printing/publication sources, well, we need them. Otherwise, as we werk out the details of this latest DLA adventure, you will be the first to know…

Business 4:// (DECEMBER ISSUE) –>

WOW! as if all that weren’t enough…. The theme for the december issue is “Dreams” (dreaming, things once dreamt, wet dreams, etc). So be mindful–take your artwerk, strike us down….and the journey toward the december issue will be complete! The DEADLINE for the DECEMBER issue of DLA is NOVEMBER 20th !!

2. Cover –Yasuko
3. Werdz page — Chris (MAYBE!)
4. Tarot Card — Not Jeff

Actually, we are skipping the tarot card for the dec issue in order to make the tarot card number correspond with the issue number. SO what this means is that we have an inside back cover up for grabs!! Shit, don’t all stand up at once! Only enough december inside back covers for one of us…who will it be? I can’t wait to see…

Business 5:// (January Issue) –>

Although a wayz off, the January issue will be a bit different — all sketchz!! That’s right, dig up your favorite sketchz (as many as you want), write something (anything!! –serious, witty, insane, etc) about each one and send them piping hot by December 20th!! We think you will be surprised when you see the finished product. Inspireeee….

Well, I think that’s enough for now–you’re looking mighty tired after all that reading. But don’t be too tired! We are about to accomplish more than ever–and we need EVERYONE’s help in order to succeed! Go Team!! 90 RTS!!!
