DLa #008 The scariest issue ever!! Lookout now, you bad dog, because the entire DLa collective once again rolls the bones with another hellish issue of Dead Letter Art. Produced entirely offline, the DLa Halloween issue digs up ghoulish chunks of creative mayhem, haunting da crypt with spooky fruits of the tomb. Well, okay, but you get the idea. We went off on this issue. You see, we have always been into the darker side of things, and when Halloween rolls around, we really get into it. And, in 2001, to celebrate the event, we produced the entire October issue old-skool — without computers — cutting and pasting our way to 32 pages of utter Halloween scariness. The DLa Halloween Issue features an exclusive front & back cover art by Kalacakra, collaborative Werdz Page by Bleeding Heart/Perishable, and a ghastly tarot card by Osseus. Plus, deluxe, hand-crafted pages present wicked comix such as Crunch & Weasle and Tales of the Galactic Rover, as well as decrepid collages by Kalacakra and pagan sculptures by Bleeding Heart. And the chillz don't stop there, because there are also creepy crawly contents & splash pages, as well as a nightmarish Artopsy haunt. Although there will never be reproductions of the original, cut-&-paste copies of the 2001 Halloween Special, the issue was such a scream that we had it digitally reformatted, remastered, and reprinted for Halloween 2002. So ring a doorbell, freak, and trick or treat.
