Anthropomorphism [ September 2001 ]

After a blistering time distributing the well-received Moses Lake Special, the Dead Letter Art collective was at it again — meeting, planning, drawing, and painting. Still operating according to an excessively insane "monthly" production schedule, the race was on to accomplish another full-flavoured issue on time. For this issue, ThaneC suggested a rather challenging "anthropomorphism" theme, which was more or less applies exclusively to ThaneC’s tongue-in-cheek cover art, a teller’s-eye view of a canine bank robbery. The issue itself was designed by Osseus & Sui Lan, who once again translate routine layout elements into an evolved state of aesthetic cohesiveness. The issue itself features original artwork by Bleeding Heart, Nimbus, and Perishable, as well as exclusive comix, Artopsy, another Tarot Card, Il Commentator, and even a dumb-ass Werdz Page. Comix include Crunch & Weasle, Eschelon, Tales of the Galactic Warrior, and The Sorrow of the Mask. Overall, the issue is well-rounded, feature-packed, follow-up to the overwrought spectacle of the Moses Lake Special.
