i picked up my copy of dla comix today from ken, and found out that we are 3 short (the comic shop issues failed to make the count.) so i am printing those this week and stitching/ passing to ken for glue work. we are going to simply cut and glue (no stitch) one issue to see if this more simple method works well, too. this will wrap up the comix issue.
finances:
i am changing the subscription page tonight to read as ‘donations’. for the next issue – nobody has put in their money yet (except for a few ‘donors’). ken can answer specifics on account balance (or jeff for you east-siders.) ken and yasuko are very busy with school and may hand off the financial reporting to me – however, i will be gone during november. see also below under ‘next issue’.
next issue:
printing/payment concerns could be:: i am gone november. ken is too busy with school to do a lot. are you planning on printing at kinko’s in seattle, or have some other arrangements been made? (possibly ron could relay data for printing to spokane kinko’s as some sort of alternate, too.) anyhow, i am only stating this to get you thinking about how the issue will come together and to tell you about what i see may be potential problem areas.
