News from Saturday, June 08, 2002 @ 5:49 PMThanks for the latest DLa. I was amazed to see all the work you guys had layed out at Thanes in there (minus the process) and, well, all the extra’s were fantastic. E-sweet-E. The action packed comic (using digital stills of action figures) was sorta keen on your part. Is that a new format or has that style been rampant for some time? It was new to me and very entertaining. Of coarse, again, all your wit flys without fail and ends up in a nice meaty mag to sink my hungry/wasted eyes on. It really helps a poor boy out. Thanks. About my article … fine and dandy. I like how you put out some of my sketchez and things and said a bit about me. I just can’t help but feel a little edgy when pushed out into the lime light. Well, whatever for the people of the world, right? Hmmm. So what’s new to chew on? You must have a lot on your plate now. I’d like to hear abou it.
You know me, I’m burried alive as always. I can’t even begin to settle into anything creative as I have been away for much too long. Time will eventually glide me into something with extravagance. Until then, I must work to find my way.
We are well. Hope you are too. Be good and keep in touch.
Take care.

Hey [FCU]!
You are more than welcome for the DLa. It is always good to hear you feedback, and I will be sure and let the fellaz know about your well-being and apparent satisfaction with the issue. We always appreciate your DLa-related comments! As far as the Thuperfriendth (GI Joe) comic, yes that style has been done before — I just thought it would be cool to elevate the status of my action figures to ThuperThtarth! Ha ha ha. Seriously though, I have always thought of doing something like that, I know I can say that I have done it. But anyway, glad it gave you a chuckle or two… Also, glad to hear you liked the [FCU] Gallery — I will be sure and tell [88teeth]. He is responsible for putting it together. I think it turned out well, though. Keep in mind that that is NOT the interview we have planned for you. The gallery was just that — a gallery of some of your art. The Wonderful Weech Interview is still in the works and should be out in a future issue of DLa. So keep your eyes peeled…
Moving on, yes indeed we all (including you) have a lot on our plates. I know that things are well with you, even if you are extremely busy, with your work and new magical, legs-go-up baby. So here’s a lil’ breakdown of the crew over here. [Osseus] and [Sui Lan] both gained admission to the Seattle College Art Program and are in the process of registering for Fall quarter. It is a two year program, and when they are done, they will easily find jobs working as graphic artists. Other than that, [Osseus] and [Sui Lan] are both unemployed and spend much of their time (I imagine) playing with their cat. I think [Osseus] might also be looking for temporary Summer employment. [88teeth] is now finishing up with finals, moving down to his girlfriend’s house, helping his mom move to Vancouver (WA), and looking for a job as well. He is EXTREMELY busy. As for myself, I am very busy also. I am trying to prepare for finals while also driving back and forth to Moses Lake in pursuit of a job at [some pathetic little factory]. It appears, at this time (Lord Willing!), that I indeed have the job — I am just waiting for a few final hoops to jump through — and so me and the family are also in the process of moving to Moses Lake so I can begin working July first. I am also in the process of landing a pretty sweet apartment out in Pelican Point (only a few blocks from [BHBW]), and am now doing all the other trivial shit that comes along with moving a family (address changes, deposits, appointments, moving furniture, etc). So, as you can imagine, things are somewhat upside-down over here lately. But God is Good and God is Graceful, so Praise God!
And finally, I will tell [Ms. Perishable] hello and such. And she returns the gesture. It was great how well everyone got along while you were here, but unfortunate that you were unable to come over and visit one last time as you told everyone you were going to. I understand that things come up (especially with a baby), but we literally had EVERYONE over at the apartment waiting for you guys to show up or even just call and let us know that you couldn’t make it (with that new palm pilot, you can’t say that you lost our number!). Don’t worry about it though, it is really small potatoes compared to the busy-ness that is going on now. However, given that you just took off and didn’t bother contacting anyone for almost two weeks after leaving, I would think that a round of emails confirming what I will tell everyone about you actually being alive and well (as opposed to dead and buried) is a good idea. You know what I mean. Smooth things out a bit with the whole posse. It’s all good.
I am glad that you and yours are indeed alive and well. Best of luck with the future, I wish you and your family all the best. Thanks for stopping by while you were in town — it was good to see you again. Take care.
